About Princess Ayo

This blog is about my journey of faith when God called me out to live in the world relying on Him like I’d never done before. He is proving that He is Jehovah Jireh, meaning God, My Provider. I feel like the disciples in Luke 9:1-10 & 10:1-23 (interesting that this was followed by a visit to Jesus from a expert theologian:). I’m also living Deuteronomy  8:3 – “he humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers (or mothers) had known to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.” This was Jesus’ answer to the devil in the wilderness.

I am Princess Carroll Ayo Durodola, author, illustrator, African storyteller and TV host, the granddaughter of the late Elegbe of Egbe, the king of Egbe, Oba Aina Owojaiye of Nigeria, West Africa, who was a much loved and respected ruler. His son, my dad the late Dr. James I. Durodola, was a world renown surgeon, researcher, scientist and oncologist. March 2009 my children’s picture book , “Tunde, the Little Nigerian Prince” (Ages 4-8), was re-released by Sweeties Books, after I self-published it for ten years. It is the first in a series of children’s picture books about Tunde, a six year old whose character revolves around my dad, growing up in Egbe, learning lessons and getting into all kinds of scraps. I have also released it as an e-movie audiobook. When I was seven years old I gave my life to Christ and now I am having an amazing intimate relationship with God. He has me on a wild ride of faith sending me out to let it be known that the kingdom of God is at hand.
